Sunshower Low energy consumption, high energy levels. Really.

Sky rocketing energy prices are on everyone's lips. So we do everything we can to save on those costs. We wear thick jumpers, cook one-pot meals, and shower as briefly as possible.

And it's that showering that we want to talk about. Sunshower showering, that is. Because if you think a Sunshower is an energy guzzler, you're wrong. A Sunshower will only cost you
£10 a year, which is about the same as the annual consumption of a kettle. Check out the calculation below.

Allow us to explain how we reached that amount:

Assuming that 1 person 'Sunshowers' 3 times a week for 7 minutes at a time, for 40 weeks (in the summer, it is often too hot for infrared and there is no need for extra vitamin D) we arrive at the following calculation:

  • An average Sunshower is 2000 watts (kettle 2200 watts)
  • £0.34 per kWh (government price cap for electricity*)
  • 1 person, 3 times a week, 7 minutes each time, 40 weeks
  • 2,000 watts x £0.34 per kWh = £0.68 if you were to use the Sunshower for 1 hour.
  • If 1 hour of showering with Sunshower costs £0.68, 7 minutes costs £0.08
  • £0.08 x 3 times a week x 40 weeks a year = £9,52
  • Which we round up to: £10 per year. And, of course, when energy prices go down again, and let's assume that they will eventually, this amount will also go down.

See? So it really is true.

Sunshower offers low energy consumption and high energy levels.
